Woodplay Playsets
Lifetime Warranty Redwood and Cedar Play Systems
Backyard Basics has been Middle Georgia's playground professionals for the past 10 years. In the early days, we carried play sets made of treated wood, and the warranty and quality problems were numerous. When we became a Woodplay Playsets Dealer those problems went away. Woodplay has been building the safest, best built, and best warranted, play structures in the industry for 35 years. Woodplay believes you ought to be able to buy one play set to last the life of your children. If you should have a warranty issue, the problem is addressed quickly at the dealer level not on the phone with someone you have never met.
Click on the link below to view the Woodplay Catalog online or have one mailed to you. Pick the options you like and then come visit our store and play a while. At Backyard Basics, we believe you ought to "Try it before you Buy it" -- something you can't do at those big box stores. Buy from a Playground specialist with years of experience.

A Word About the Residential Play System Industry
It seems like you can buy playground equipment just about everywhere these days. You can buy "Whitewood" kits with redwood stain at just about every discount or internet store in America.
It would seem the goal of most of these manufacturers is to buy the cheapest wood they can get, put it together with the cheapest hardware they can buy, and make it all fit in the smallest box they can. Some of these sets take 30-40 hours to assemble. The cheap unstable metal sets of years gone by have been replaced by cheap wood sets of today.
A majority of our customers have previously purchased one of these sets and realize that what looks like a Good Deal is not always a Good Deal. As a Certified Playground Safety Inspector I am aware that most playground accidents that happen at home are a result of unstable, poorly constructed products.
It is my goal to provide sturdy, well built, safe equipment for your child at affordable prices. My children's first play set was a cheap metal set from a company that was forced out of business because of law suits. I then built a treated wood set that looked good for a while, then the wood dried and the swing beam and legs warped and split and became unsafe. Then I found out that the chemicals used to treat the wood were also dangerous.
I did my research after wasting money and risking my children's safety. That's when I started Backyard Basics with the goal of providing safe play equipment for your children. I will do my best to keep you from making the same mistakes I made. "If you can Shake it, Don't Take It" and "If you can't Try it Don't Buy It" are not just sales pitches when I say them. Those slogans come from a passion to help keep your children safe.
You wouldn't buy a car if you knew the wheels would come off in a year just to save a few bucks, why would you want to buy a play set that will fall apart in a year and risk injury to your children.
Sincerely,
Rob Kidney "Backyard Bob" CPSI
